Sandra Figoni Prado
Founder and Director
“I first came to the town of Tilcara many years ago, in a flowerful Easter filled with music and devotion. There I began a journey that still endures. I currently live and work in Buenos Aires and Tilcara, in the Province of Jujuy. My world is art, nature, culture and design. I studied Fine Art, did photography and film studies, and graduated as an Architect from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
I have known the Quebrada since long before it was declared a heritage site, and I have seen and experienced how such an important acknowledgement resulted in a boost in tourism in the region, though it was not precisely complemented by an adequate promotion of its identity and culture. Therefore, in 2010, I decided to create an independent cultural-publishing venture.
In the making, I discovered how valuable it is to be creative in the dissemination of the region’s cultural heritage. My way of contributing to this aim is establishing a communication channel and opening doors to new ideas and relationships in order to generate innovative proposals that will help promote the immense value of this cultural asset and its people.”.

Co-director
“I have known the Quebrada since a very young age, when I used to spend every summer at my grandparents in Tilcara. In 2005 I founded the news blog “The Tilcarallajta Herald” for educational purposes and with the aim of spreading the Quebrada’s main news. I studied Political Science at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Currently, in addition to carrying out research, I am a university lecturer at the Universidad Católica Argentina in the careers of Journalism and Communication.”
